The film and shorts we curated were shown at Florida International University. As a group, we decided to try to find foreign films based on fairytales or folktales that were twisted, creepy, and scary. We briefly introduced our audience to Korea’s, Canada’s, and Mexico’s film industry. The shorts shown were “Red Hood” by Navin Dev, “Shhh” byFreddy Chavez Olmos & Shervin Shoghian, and “The Cat with Hands” by Robert Morgan. The featured film presented was A Tale of Two Sisters by Jee-Woon Kim. The featured film is based off of a Korean folktale. A Korean guest was so shocked that FIU was showcasing a Korean classic.
