​Third World Cinema

Films can reveal the world. Films can open us to wide range of emotions. They can connect us to social issues. They can allow us to see the world from a point of view not our own. We are the Honors College Third World Cinema class. We have studied films that are far outside our culture, films that explore all the big topics: life, death, war, politics, love and hate.

In our “seeding”project, we have taken what we learned to eight locations in Miami. Our aim was to expose the wider community to some provocative and all-around great films created outside the glare of Hollywood lime-light.
