We showcased two Colombian comedies known as Lecciones Para un Beso and Gordo, Calvo y Bajito. Why did we choose Colombian comedies as our genre? Well, Miami is big on its Hispanic communities and is, surprisingly, lacking the films that its culture deserves. So, we decided that we would put on this film festival of ours in none other than beautiful and local South Miami in a bar called Sidebar at Town. We served Colombian staples such as croquetas, empanadas and drinks such as Colombiana: La Nuestra and Popular. We had customers from the bar come watch along with guest of our own and even some of the employees of the bar took breaks from their labor to enjoy some great cinematography. Overall, it was an entire success and if there’s anything we’ve learned from this experience, it’s to always bring more food. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen.
